Respectful care, skilled restoration

Memorial Cleaning
& Renovation

Helping a treasured memorial look its best again, while preserving its character and ensuring it remains secure for the years ahead.

Care for something that matters

Restoring dignity without losing character

Natural stone changes with time. Weather, local conditions, lichen and surrounding trees can all affect a memorial’s appearance, while older fixings may eventually need professional attention.

Our experienced masons assess each memorial individually. We will explain what can be cleaned, repaired or renewed, and advise honestly if a different approach would offer better long-term value.

Cleaning shaped around the memorial

A careful clean can transform a heavily weathered memorial. Where required, we can also discuss lettering, surrounding stonework and refixing so the finished work is both respectful and structurally sound.

If repair would be uneconomical, we will tell you. Replacement is rarely necessary, but where it is the sensible choice we can guide you towards an identical form or a lower-maintenance alternative.

We offer a free, no-obligation survey by an experienced mason so that you receive a quotation based on the memorial’s actual condition.

Planned throughout the year

Regular memorial care

For families who cannot visit as often as they would like, a planned cleaning service helps keep the memorial and grave area cared for throughout the seasons.

The memorial shown has been in our care for more than fifteen years. In May we give it a light clean and tidy the edging and chippings. In December we clear fallen leaves, clean the memorial and place two wreaths on the grave.

Memorial safety inspections

We conduct professional safety surveys to assess a memorial’s structural integrity. Our team has undertaken testing programmes for burial authorities as well as inspections of individual family memorials.

Where a fixing has failed, we provide a clear quotation and discuss the appropriate immediate action. Depending on the authority’s requirements, this may mean carefully laying the memorial down or temporarily securing it with a stake, banding and high-visibility marking.

We can then provide a NAMM-approved refix tailored to each failed memorial, backed by our ten-year fixing guarantee.
