Indian Black granite is polished throughout to bring out its deep, even colour. Design G features a rose entwined around a cross, creating a distinctive focal point while retaining a clear area for the inscription.

Black granite is generally intended for cemetery use because churchyards commonly restrict polished finishes and dark granite. It can be installed above ground on a suitable foundation, subject to the regulations of the burial authority.
