Indian Black granite is polished throughout to bring out its deep, even colour. Design B is a flat tablet decorated with a large cross, leaving a clear area for the inscription.
Black granite is generally intended for cemetery use because churchyards commonly restrict polished finishes and black granite. It can be installed above ground on a suitable foundation, subject to the regulations of the burial authority.
